Dr Chukwudiebube (Chuks) Ajaero MBBS FMCP FRACP is a clinical cardiologist with special interest in the management of cardiac arrhythmias, heart failure, implantable cardiac devices and transosephageal echocardiography. He is also passionate about preventive cardiology.
Dr Ajaero obtained his MBBS degree from Nigeria in 1997. He subsequently proceeded with postgraduate training and was awarded the Nigerian Fellowship of
the Medical College of Physicians in Cardiology in 2005.
Dr Ajaero received extensive training in preventive cardiology, management of heart failure as well as management of valvular heart disease. In 2007, Dr Ajaero commenced further advanced training in cardiology in Australia and in 2012 was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians in cardiology.
Due to his interest in heart failure and arrhythmias, he is currently a lead investigator in the proposed multicentre trial of cardiac resynchronisation therapy involving The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Flinders Medical Centre and Lyell McEwin Hospital.
Chuks holds a public hospital appointment with The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Lyell McEwin Hospital as consultant cardiologist.
Dr Chuks Ajaero joined SA Heart in early 2013 and consults regularly at our North Adelaide and Craigmore location, including regular Saturday morning sessions.
