GP education evening

On Tuesday 12 November 2013 SA Heart hosted a GP seminar entitled 'The new oral anticoagulants' at Martini Ristorante in Norwood.

Following a formal welcome from Dr Matthew Worthley, Dr Chuks Ajaero presented on atrial fibrillation. Dr Luan Huynh followed with an update for the GPs on the new oral anticoagulant agents that have recently been PBS approved in Australia.

The meeting was well attended and the general feedback was very positive.

GPs are able to 'self record' QI&CPD points online through the RACGP.

More education sessions are planned for 2014.
