On Tuesday 17th August 2010 SA Heart hosted a GP cardiology workshop at our Norwood clinic. GPs took part in three small group learning sessions.
Following a formal welcome from Dr Angas Hains, attendees were invited to divide into groups and rotate through three individual workshop stations. Dr Leon Zimmet and Dr Bronte Ayres hosted an ECG interpretation session, Dr Angas Hains and Dr Tapash Bakshi showcased images of coronary artery stenting and Dr John Hii discussed atrial fibrillation, pacemakers and defibrillators.
GPs were given information on how to ‘self record’ QA&CPD points online through the RACGP and general feedback from all was very positive.
