Dr Susie Parnham MBBS BMedSci FRACP is a cardiologist with special interests in cardiac imaging, coronary artery disease, heart failure and cardiomyopathy.
Dr Parnham graduated from University of Melbourne with dual degrees, BMedSci and MBBS. She trained in advanced cardiology at Austin Hospital, Eastern Health and Monash (Victoria) and was subsequently awarded Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP).
Susie underwent a cardiac imaging fellowship at Flinders Medical Centre, sub-specialising in cardiac MRI and echocardiography, including stress echocardiography. She has a particular interest in diagnostic stress testing to rule out cardiac cause, especially in patients with increased cardiovascular risk factors.
Susie commenced her PhD research degree in ‘Utility of Cardiovascular MRI in Cardio-Renal Phenotyping and Prognosis’. She was awarded Postgraduate Research Scholarship, Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSANZ) Research Scholarship and Society of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (SCMR) Regional Scholarship.
Dr Parnham joined SA Heart in 2013 and provides specialist diagnostic testing and reporting, including stress ECG, echocardiography and stress echocardiography. She consults at our Flinders and Noarlunga locations. For private patients, she has admitting and consulting rights at Flinders Private Hospital.
